13-year-old William Smith, 19-year-old Nasir Hall and 1-year-old A-mara Hall killed in a shooting on Interstate 57
A 19-year-old woman was also transported as a victim, but her current condition remains unknown.

On Sunday night at around 10:37 p.m., there was a shooting incident near 111th and Bishop Street northbound, which resulted in six people being shot.
Unfortunately, three individuals, including a baby girl named A-mara Hall, lost their lives as a result of the shooting.
The medical examiner’s office identified A-mara Hall as one of the victims, while the other two who were pronounced dead at the scene were 13-year-old William Smith and 19-year-old Nasir Hall.



Among the six people shot, one child was also injured, but information about their condition is not currently available.
The Illinois State Police responded to the shooting incident.

The section of I-57 between 127th and 111th was closed for several hours due to the incident, but it reopened just after 4:30 a.m.
