15-year-old boy and 18-year old Ty Jheer Reeves arrested after 8-year-old girl injured in a shooting in Fort Pierce

No other injuries were reported.

Following a shooting incident where an 8-year-old girl sustained non-life-threatening injuries, two male suspects aged 15 and 18 were taken into custody.

The incident occurred on Friday night, and the victim was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach, with stable condition, as per Fort Pierce spokeswoman, April Lee.

No other injuries were reported.

The shooting occurred at around 6:15 pm at the 1200 block of Avenue O.

After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the victim and two other children were seated in their vehicle while other family members were boarding the car when two suspects in a white-colored vehicle opened fire before leaving the scene.

Fort Pierce Police detectives and patrol officers located the suspects and the car used in the shooting, leading to the arrest of the 15-year-old boy and Ty Jheer Reeves, who is 18 years old.

Lee confirmed that this seems to be an isolated incident.
