TWO young brothers Sawyer and Mason have been found dead at Clarks Hill Lake alongside their 22-year-old sister Ravel Powell with cops saying they “have not ruled out foul play.”

Three siblings died when they drowned at the Amity Recreation Area at Clarks Hill Lake on Thursday night.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff Paul Reviere, the ages of the three siblings were 22, 4, and 3.

At approximately nine o’clock in the evening, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office contacted the game wardens to inform them of a suspected triple drowning.

According to the findings of the investigation conducted by the Lincoln County Coroner Tim Quarles, the eldest child was revealed to be a woman named Raven Powell, who hailed from the Thomson/Raysville area of McDuffie County.

Mason Powell, age 4, and Sawyer Powell, age 3, were recognized as the other two children in the family.

Mason and Sawyer were found by bystanders, and Raven was still missing when three game wardens and other local police arrived. Just before 11 o’clock at night, they used SONAR equipment to find her.

We spoke to the siblings’ cousin, who shared with us that the boys were overjoyed at the opportunity to go to the lake with their sister. They had no idea that this would be the place where they would spend their last moments together.

“They were everything to us. “They mean the world to us,” Hannah Redfern said.

Reviere has confirmed that the Georgia Department of Natural Resources together with the sheriff’s office are conducting an investigation, and that agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation were present at the scene.

According to the findings of the coroner’s investigation, all three of the siblings passed away on Thursday evening after 5 p.m.

“I am at a loss for any other way to describe it but dreadful. She remarked, “I can’t believe how quickly it all transpired; it’s incomprehensible.”

The crime lab of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is receiving all three of the deceased individuals.

Redfern expressed his distaste for the lake by saying, “I don’t even want to come back to the lake again.”

Members of the boys’ family recall that they were daring and enjoyed water sports.
