Newcomerstown woman killed in traffic crash near Gnadenhutten

An accident involving a single vehicle occurred early on Saturday morning near Gnadenhutten. The driver, a 34-year-old woman from Newcomerstown, was pronounced dead at the scene.
At approximately four in the morning, the driver, who has been officially identified as Amanda Turner, was reportedly travelling southbound on state Route 416 in a 2021 Jeep Gladiator, according to a release from authorities.
The motorist did not come to a complete stop at a stop sign, continued across US Route 36 off the south side of the road, and collided with a guardrail.
When the Jeep flipped over in the embankment, the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
The woman was brought to Trinity Hospital, where a physician afterwards confirmed that she had passed away.
According to the Highway Patrol, the driver was under the influence of alcohol and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Her husband, Mark Turner share the heartbreaking message on Facebook.
He wrote, “Yesterday morning I lost my heart and sole. My rock. My life. The most beautiful women inside and out. The best mother and wife, my best friend in the entire world. Amanda Turner my Montana I love you so so much. We miss you so much already. Please keep my family and myself in your hearts and prayers. This is the most difficult time in my life I’ve ever had to deal with. Amanda Montana Turner may your beautiful soul rest easy in heaven. Until I get to have you again, I LOVE YOU Forever.”
