Alamosa high school has given “all clear” from Police

There are reports of an active shooter at Alamosa high school



Alamosa School District: We have received an ALL CLEAR from the Alamosa Police Department. There is no threat to anyone at Alamosa High School or any of our schools. An official statement will be sent soon.

All clear at Alamosa High. AHS and local police responded to a threat of an active shooter. Police did a classroom-to-classroom search and cleared it. Schools elsewhere around state received same threat.

The Police Department did respond to the High School based on a call. The same number was used to call Montrose, Denver, and schools in the Texas area. At this point, Police have finished searching the High School and will be releasing all schools. It was a unfounded threat felt to be a prank call.

There is police presence at Alamosa High School. Alamosa Police received a phone from an administrative number regarding shots fired at Alamosa High School.

This information triggered the response. This information IS NOT true.

Nobody from Alamosa High School called 911 with this information.

The investigation continues.
