Police units responding to active shooter at C.C. Winn High School in Eagle Pass, Texas

Eagle Pass ISD Police Department said Last night the Eagle Pass ISD Police Department received a threat of violence report against CC Winn High School.

An investigation was initiated by EPISD PD and a 16 year old was detained. We would like to thank all law enforcement agencies for their support.

Special thanks to EPISD PD for their swift response to this situation.

“We will always investigate every report that threatens the safety of our students and staff. Any individual threatening to commit violence against our schools will be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law” said Chief Ynosencio.

Initial Report:

EPISD Police Department & other law enforcement agencies have responded to a threat that was made against Winn High School campus.

This was only a THREAT not an ACTIVE SHOOTER.

The situation is being investigated & law enforcement agencies will be monitoring WHS to assure student & staff safety

Multiple officers were dispatched to conduct investigations.

As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.

No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.

We will provide any new information that we have in connection with this occurrence.
