Shelter in place has been lifted at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte
A number of different law enforcement organizations are reacting to a complaint of an active shooter at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center located 1500 E Duarte Rd in Duarte.

Employees and patients currently sheltering in place at the City of Hope in Duarte. Temple City Sheriff Deputies in search of armed robbery suspect.

At approximately 2:25 pm today, City of Hope was alerted by the L.A. Sheriff’s Department that they were pursuing an armed suspect adjacent to our Duarte campus.
Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Hope Duarte campus was locked down, with all buildings secured, campus entrances closed and a “shelter in place” order issued to all employees and patients.
The L.A. Sheriff’s Department has issued an all clear and the shelter in place order has been lifted for the City of Hope campus. Normal business operations have resumed.
Employees, patients, and visitors at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Hospital in Duarte are taking cover inside the facility while Los Angeles County deputies search the surrounding area for a suspect in an armed robbery.
