About 30 minutes later, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins told reporters outside the building that it appeared an armed person fatally shot someone before taking their own life.

At approximately 4:30 in the afternoon, officers from the police and the sheriff’s department were called to the second story of the building in response to a report of an active shooter.
