False report of active shooter draws police presence to Wichita and Topeka high schools
At 1:30 today, Topeka Police Department received a single call of an active shooter at Hayden High School in Topeka, Kansa.

Following reports of an active shooter on Thursday at two Kansas high schools, authorities have determined that there is not a threat.

At approximately 2:00 in the afternoon, Sedgwick County dispatch confirmed that police were dispatched to North High School in Wichita. Someone reportedly reported an active shooter at USD 259, but a spokesperson for the company indicated there was no danger.
There was a report of an active shooter at Hayden Catholic High School in Topeka, but it turned out to be incorrect.
At 1:30 p.m. today, a single call was received by dispatch indicating that an active shooter was present at Hayden High School.
Following the appropriate response, members of the Topeka Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies cleared the school and the area around it.
There were no dangers found to the students, the personnel, or the institution itself.
The Toronto Police Department is checking into a rumor that there is a shooter in the area, but they want the community to know that nobody is in danger.
