A POLICE standoff has begun following reports of an active gunman at the Hollywood Farmers Market.

FOX3 was informed by a Los Angeles Police Department representative that multiple witnesses reported hearing gunfire coming from a building window.
Sunday morning in Hollywood, Los Angeles, about eight in the morning, the incident took place.
According to the police, when they arrived to the site, they spotted someone shouting and throwing rocks from the balcony of an apartment building.
After approximately 9.20 a.m., a suspect who has not yet been named and the police entered into a standoff.
It appears that the suspect locked himself inside the apartment on Cosmo Street and created a barrier around himself.
An earlier sighting of a police helicopter occurred about 9 o’clock in the morning.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
