No credible threat found at St. John Middle School

Concord police, New Hampshire State Police, and other law enforcement agencies are at an active shooter call at St. John Middle School.

Concord police are searching the building after getting a tip that a shooter was still inside. Students at the church have been told to leave.

Update: MPD is aware of HOAX active shooter calls being reported in the state. There are no known credible threats to our schools. Manchester Police will continue to monitor the situation. Additional resources are at our schools & police are in communication w/the School District.

At this time, members of the Concord Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police, and other law enforcement agencies are responding to a complaint of an active shooter at St. John Middle School.

The conversation coming from the scanners indicates that every student has been found. The building is currently being searched by the police for a second time.

There is currently no evidence to suggest that there is a shooter inside the building. It’s possible that this is a scam.

The Department of Safety is aware of multiple active shooter threats that have been made at schools throughout the state. At this time these reports are believed to be a hoax. The NH Information Analysis Center is heavily involved in coordinating these investigations.

SAU de Concord The “secure campus” mode has been activated at a total of eight local schools, including Concord High School, Rundlett Middle School, McAuliffe Elementary School, and Abbot-Downing Elementary School. As a safety measure, entry into or exit from the schools has been completely shut down.

There have been several assurances provided by the authorities that every single student has been located and is safe. They are continuing to scrutinize not only the teachers but also the classrooms at each of the schools.

Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
