According to the Lumberton Police Department, a victim with gunshot wounds was discovered inside the Walmart. The unidentified victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where their condition is unknown at this time.

Three gunshots were fired after an argument (rumored to be about a television), according to preliminary witnesses, and one person was shot in the hip/back of his upper leg.

In a statement, Walmart stated that it is “collaborating with local law enforcement” and that any questions should be directed to them. The company provided no other details.

According to the authorities, the individual who shot someone is still at large. The victim and the person who is accused of shooting them are both known to each other, according to the police, so this was not a random act of violence.
