Active shooter reported at Walmart in Trussville
The Trussville Walmart was forced to close on Saturday, September 10, at approximately 7:09 p.m., after two individuals wearing masks entered the store and made threats.

Walmart is currently getting back to business as usual after receiving confirmation from the Trussville Police Department that it is safe to do so.

The Trussville Walmart was forced to close on Saturday, September 10, at approximately 7:09 p.m., after two individuals wearing masks entered the store and made threats.
The Trussville Police Department (TPD) and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office both responded to the location at 5919 Trussville Crossings Parkway in Trussville after receiving calls of a possible shooting.
“Loss prevention phoned us and said that they noticed two black guys wearing ski masks inside the business asking for an employee and threatening to shoot up the facility,” Lieutenant Clint Riner said. “They were demanding to speak with an employee and threatening to shoot up the place.”
Walmart is temporarily closed as law enforcement officials conduct a search of the premises to ensure customer safety.
Riner stated that there were no injuries and that there were no reports of any weapons being present at the location. “There are not any urgent dangers to public safety at this moment,” said the official.
According to reports, there are no suspects being held in jail. Nevertheless, law enforcement officials are already conducting an investigation at the location.
