There is no active shooter at Walmart in Rosemead, California, there were reports of an armed subject inside, but no shots have been fired at this time.

The Rosemead shopping center has been evacuated, according to law enforcement agencies, as officers respond to a report of an armed person/potential active shooter at Walmart.

A 911 call reporting an armed individual at the Rosemead Supercenter was received earlier today, according to a Rosemead Police Department spokesperson, prompting a heavy police presence at the Walmart.

People are being advised to avoid the Rosemead Walmart while authorities investigate the situation. According to sources, police helicopters are requesting that people leave the Rosemead Walmart and the parking lot entirely.

Witnesses confirmed seeing people running to their cars as police from the helicopter spoke on megaphones.

Officers and detectives are currently on scene conducting an investigation.

As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.

No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
