Suspect is in custody, shelter in place order lifted

Blanca Police Department responded after active shooter reported in Blanca Colorado. Residents are advised to shelter in place.

Blanca police have confirmed that a male suspect is in custody and has been apprehended without incident. There has been no information about injuries or any danger to the neighborhood. The order to shelter in place has been withdrawn.

Update: Blanca PD now confirm male suspect in custody, arrested w/o incident. No word on injuries, no danger to the community. Shelter in place order lifted.

Everyone in or near the Town of Blanca, please remain in your houses and do not exit until told it is safe to do so!

Blanca Police Department said we currently have an active shooter on the west side of town!
