One dead, three injured in shooting near the Wilbur Cross Parkway

In a shooting along the Wilbur Cross Parkway, the police have reported one person dead and three injured.

During the early hours of Sunday morning, a shooting on the Wilbur Cross Parkway resulted in the death of one person and the injury of three others.

At approximately 2:20 in the morning, the incident took place in Hamden on the northbound side of Interstate 95 at Exit 60.

According to information provided to FOX3, state troopers spotted a person with what appeared to be a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. This individual was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

An ambulance took an additional three people to Yale New Haven Hospital from the vehicle they were riding in.

At the scene of the accident, Adrian Lopez, who was from Bridgeport, was pronounced dead. The status of Bridgeport resident Qualon Wilkes has been upgraded to critical. Bridgeport resident Taquan Donald is in stable condition with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. There were no injuries recorded for the person named Mark Dunbar from Bridgeport.

After being closed early on Sunday morning, sections of the Wilbur Cross Parkway are now accessible to drivers.
