Because of the terrible collision that Anne Heche had with a house in California, the actress is now being investigated for felony drunk driving, which has the potential to get her into even more serious legal trouble.

According to sources speaking with FOX3, the Los Angeles Police Department has upgraded the investigation to a felony level since the woman who was inside the house when Anne drove through it with her Mini Cooper alleges that she was hurt and needed medical care for injuries she received.

The police have reason to assume that Anne was under the influence of drugs or alcohol while she was behind the wheel since she was driving in an irregular and reckless manner, colliding with a garage and a parked car before crashing into the house.

The police also took note of a photograph that was taken of Anne in the vehicle moments before the collision, in which she was seen holding what appeared to be a bottle of alcohol in one of the cup holders.

The actress is reportedly still struggling for her life, according to the representative for Anne. She reportedly lost consciousness shortly after the accident and has been in a coma ever since.

During the brief period of time before the fiery explosion, Anne narrowly avoided colliding with a woman before colliding with another vehicle and then slamming into a garage.

Heche was extricated from her burning vehicle by emergency medical personnel and placed on a stretcher at the scene. The truck was reduced to a burning heap of twisted metal after the crash.
