Anne Heche was not under the influence of alcohol when she crashed her car … she was under the influence of cocaine.

A report says that actress Anne Heche was high on cocaine when she crashed her car at high speed in California last Friday. The crash put her in a coma, but she is still fighting for her life.

TMZ was informed by sources inside the police department that Heche had consumed cocaine that may have contained fentanyl before to the incident in which she caused a massive fire by crashing her blue Mini Cooper into a suburban home.

According to earlier accounts, there was a suspicion that Heche, 53, was under the influence of alcohol. Her representatives have disputed that she was drinking alcohol before the accident.

Since the accident, the actress from “Six Days, Seven Nights” has been fighting for her life. She is now in a coma and in critical condition.

After taking some of Heche’s blood at the hospital and testing it, TMZ said that the police found out she was high on the illegal stimulant.

However, according to a source who spoke to the outlet, the fentanyl that was found in her blood could have been the result of therapy that she received in the hospital.

The troubled actress suffered significant burns as a result of the fire that was started by the collision, and film taken at the site showed that her back was burnt.

To extinguish the fires, it took over sixty firefighters to work together.

Her erratic driving can be seen in footage taken before the tragedy, including an instance in which she raced into an alleyway at a high rate of speed and came dangerously close to hitting a pedestrian.

According to a spokeswoman for Heche, she is currently suffering from a “severe lung injury that requires mechanical ventilation and burns that necessitate surgical intervention at this time.”

The actress who is best remembered for her role in “Donnie Brasco,” as well as her high-profile relationship with Ellen DeGeneres in the 1990s, has battled addiction to various substances throughout her whole life.
