Attempted attack on Argentina Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, an armed man tried to shoot her but failed, he was arrested and transferred on a Federal Police mobile.
The politician did not sustain any injuries as a result of the lack of gunfire at the entrance of her home in Buenos Aires, where a large crowd of demonstrators had assembled.
The attempted attack was recorded in the images taken by Public Television in the vicinity of the former president’s home, while the aggressor was arrested by the Federal Police.
The attacker would be of Brazilian origin and would be identified as Fernando Andres Sabag Montiel, 35 , according to the federal force. “At approximately 9:00 p.m., the arrival of the Vice President at the home was observed and in a few minutes there were excesses and 5 people began to chase a male through Uruguay in the direction of Talcahuano, accusing him of being an opponent of Cristina and with the intention of killing her”; was indicated in the part.
Minutes after the event, the Ministry of Security confirmed through a statement that a “man would be armed” and that “he was identified by arresting him on Juncal and Uruguay streets.” In addition, they indicated that “a weapon was found a few meters from the place.”
The Security Minister, Aníbal Fernández , in dialogue with the C5N channel, explained that the detained person “had a weapon” and that he was initially detained “by custody personnel.”
