Arrest warrant issued for Vernon Watkins Jr in connection to shooting death of Louis “Javare” Lipscomb outside of the Aces & Eights bar in Lawton

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Vernon Watkins, Jr. in relation to the fatal shooting of Louis “Javare” Lipscomb, which occurred outside the Aces & Eights bar on Cache Road in Lawton, Oklahoma on November 5, 2022.
Shots were heard at Aces & Eights bar on Cache Road just before 2 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities found Javare on the ground, bleeding from gunshot wounds.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, he passed away from his injuries. Javare, who was born on August 22, 1988 in Lawton, played football at Brockland Elementary before attending Eisenhower for junior and high school.
He married his love on February 24, 2010, and they had three children together over their 22-year relationship.
Javare was a well-known tattoo artist and maintenance technician who enjoyed playing in a local pool league and dart team, as well as playing video games, drawing, and spending time with family and friends.
