Arrest warrants issued for 19-year-old Jerimiah Walker in shooting and killing of Michael Carter Sr., Michael Carter Jr., and Tonya Carter at Motel 6 Columbus

He is wanted for three counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Jerimiah Walker, a 19-year-old individual, has been identified as a suspect in the triple homicide that occurred last month at a Motel 6 in Columbus, according to the Columbus Police Department.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Walker in connection with the shooting and killing of Michael Carter, Sr., Michael Carter, Jr., and Tonya Carter.

On the night of February 18, 2023, officers responded to the Motel 6 on Victory Drive to investigate a shooting that left four people wounded. Michael Carter, Sr., and Michael Carter, Jr. were found dead from gunshot wounds inside a hotel room.

Tonya Carter and a child were rushed to Piedmont Columbus Regional in critical condition, and Tonya Carter unfortunately succumbed to her injuries on March 4.

During the shooting at the Motel 6 on Victory Drive last month, a 4-year-old child was also wounded but has been discharged from the hospital. Jerimiah Walker has been named as the suspect in the case, and arrest warrants have been issued for him.

He is wanted for three counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
