A shooting in Augusta left one person critically injured, according to dispatch.

According to the Augusta Police Department, a fight between two males resulted in a shooting that left one man in critical condition.

At approximately 3:20 in the afternoon, police officers responded to a gunfire call in the 1100 block of Bobbie.

At the scene, the police discovered one man who had been hurt as well as another individual who they later determined to be a suspect.

During the early stages of their inquiry, the police discovered that a disagreement preceded the incident in which guns were fired.

According to the police, the wounded individual had been shot in the back.

The inquiry into the circumstances that led up to the shooting is still ongoing.
