According to a statement sent by the Chicago Police Department to the media, about 1:30 a.m., a man attempted to enter The Lyon’s Den at 2123 West Division while holding a weapon. The suspect then engaged in an exchange of gunfire with the victims.

After the shooting, surveillance footage shows the perpetrator getting into a light-colored SUV and fleeing in the direction of westbound Division Street traffic.

According to a report from the Chicago Police Department, a guy who was shot in the leg, abdomen, and shoulder passed away while being treated at Stroger Hospital for his injuries. He was 28 years old. The other victim, a guy aged 26 who suffered a gunshot wound to his left calf, was listed as being in good condition at Stroger Hospital.

According to an officer, the police were able to recover at least one pistol from the site.

An officer who watched surveillance video of the shooting said that the gunman who got away was a black man with short, curly hair who wore a blue sweater over a light blue shirt, black jeans, and white shoes. The officer said that the man is between 5’11” and 6′ tall and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds.
