Australia’s oldest man, Frank Mawer, dies aged 110

Australia’s oldest man, Frank Mawer, passed away in his sleep at the age of 110 on Saturday at Central Tilba, on the South Coast.

Australia’s oldest man, Frank Mawer, passed away in his sleep at the age of 110 on Saturday at Central Tilba, on the South Coast.

According to a statement released by his caregivers at HammondCare, Frank had recently been given the diagnosis of COVID-19, and he had not made a full recovery from his illness.

Elizabeth, the wife of Frank, died in 2011 at the age of 92.

Six children, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren survive them.

Mr. Mawer, who recently celebrated his 110th birthday on August 15, was given the distinction of Australia’s oldest man in July of last year, following the passing of another man, Dexter Kruger, who was from Queensland.
