THIS is the shocking moment a groom shot his pal dead by mistake after firing off a shot in celebration at his wedding.

It is reported that Manish Madheshia fired the stray bullet that killed an army friend who was attending the wedding of another friend in northern India.

The identity of the victim, Babu Lal Yadav, 35, was confirmed by the police. Yadav had taken time off work and traveled halfway across the nation to attend the wedding of a friend.

The chilling footage shows Madheshia celebrating after being handed the weapon by getting pretty excited and firing it as part of the celebration.

The groom is said to have accidentally directed the gun towards his friend and pulled the trigger, which resulted in the guy being shot. The groom then fired one shot into the air before getting ready to fire another.

Video evidence showed the exact second that Yadav, who was wearing a white t-shirt, was struck by the live bullet. He was knocked unconscious and fell to the ground.

Police officers took Madheshia and several others into custody for interrogation after seizing the legally owned firearm.

As soon as Yadav arrived at the hospital, he was pronounced dead.

Those who were responsible for transporting him to the hospital quickly fled the scene in order to avoid being arrested.

Pratap Singh, the Superintendent of Police for Sonbhadra Amrendra in the state of Uttar Pradesh, confirmed that Madheshia was being charged with violating Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)

“The event took place as the marriage function was being organized in Ashirwad Vatika, which is located under the jurisdiction of the Robertsganj police station,” he said.

“A service member who was named as Babulal Yadav passed away after being shot during the celebration firing that was conducted by the groom, Manish Madheshia.

The investigation has begun, and the police have also taken possession of the handgun.

The witness testimony of Yadav’s family members has been turned over to the police.
