Before the shooting incident, a video captured the mother of 12-year-old Malayshia Solomon dancing while holding guns
The boyfriend reportedly told officers at the scene that the gun had accidentally discharged.

Police were called to 1403 Monroe Street on February 24th at 10:05 p.m. after receiving a report of a 12-year-old girl, Malayshia Solomon, who had been shot.
Upon arriving, they found Malayshia lying on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to her stomach, being held by her mother.
New court documents released on Wednesday revealed that the mother had posted a video to her Instagram story about an hour prior to the shooting, which showed her and two male juveniles singing and dancing while holding firearms.

The video was recorded on a cellphone. Another set of documents released on Wednesday showed that a search warrant was issued for the mother’s boyfriend.
The warrants indicate that during an interview, the mother implicated her boyfriend (whose name is being withheld as no charges have been filed) as the one who shot her daughter.
The boyfriend reportedly told officers at the scene that the gun had accidentally discharged. Police obtained clothing, a DNA swab, and gun residue from the boyfriend, as stated in the warrant.
At present, no charges have been officially filed, and FOX3 is still investigating the matter to uncover more information.
