According to the authorities, the body of a 63-year-old worker who passed away in a public restroom of a department store in South Carolina was not discovered for four days after her death.

According to the Columbia Deputy Police Chief Melron Kelly, Durham was last seen on Thursday at her place of employment, and her death was discovered not long after her family filed a missing person report.

According to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, there is no evidence that Durham was killed by another person or that she was under the influence of drugs. On Thursday, an autopsy will be performed to ascertain the reason for her passing away.

At 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, a surveillance camera captured Durham entering the restroom; however, the camera did not catch her exiting the room. Her body was discovered at 8 o’clock in the evening. Monday, the office of the coroner reported.

Kelly stated that the store was open for business as usual for those four days, and she added that the authorities are looking into whether or not anyone was negligent.

Kelly has stated that “we are currently working with the store to find out what their process is to closing down the store, inspecting the establishment, and other things of that type.”
