At the moment, the Billings police department has closed Birch Ln due to an ongoing incident.
Authorities were alerted to a complaint about someone shooting from a residence into nearby homes.
The BPD SWAT team is present at the location, and officers are trying to make contact with the suspect.
It’s recommended that people avoid the area for their safety as the active scene has been extended.
The 1000 block of Bench Blvd is also currently closed, and it is advisable to use alternate routes.
