MYSTERY surrounds the discovery of a body that was found wrapped in a blanket in a trunk in Southern California.
The body of a 42-year-old man was discovered on Monday inside the trunk of a car in the Mountain View district of San Diego. According to the police, the guy likely passed away elsewhere, but his body was brought to the alley and placed inside the vehicle.
According to Lt. Adam Sharki, the San Diego Police Department Communications Center got a complaint at 7:07 a.m. Sunday about a person wrapped in a blanket inside the trunk of a blue 2019 Honda Insight parked in the east alley of 500 S. 45th Street and discovered by sanitation employees.
When officers from the Southeastern Division of the police arrived, they determined that the individual had passed away.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of death.
