Boulder police investigate bank robbery, lockdown lifted at Casey Middle
Boulder police are investigating a bank robbery at Vectra Bank in downtown Boulder. the Casey Middle School that is located close was put on secure status for a short period of time as a precaution

The Boulder police department is currently looking into a robbery that occurred in the downtown area of Boulder.

Just before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a man entered into the Vectra Bank branch located at 2696 Broadway and exhibited a note demanding money, according to a spokesperson for the Boulder Police Department named Dionne Waugh. According to Waugh, the individual received money, and then he walked away from the area. He did not show any signs of brandishing a firearm.
According to Waugh, the Casey Middle School that is located close was put on secure status for a short period of time as a precaution, but the school is currently running as normal.
The suspect was characterized as a white man in his twenties who wore a black long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, and a black bucket or fisherman’s hat.
