On Friday, Chapin High School enacted its lockdown protocol in response to a threat made against the school.
According to a spokesperson for EPISD, the school went into lockdown at around 1:15 p.m. while EPISD police investigated the threat that had been directed towards the campus.
The lockdown was subsequently lifted at around 2:10 p.m. to allow normal activities to resume.
EPISD Police will maintain a presence on campus for the rest of the day to safeguard the welfare of both students and staff.
