Charvis Lawrence shot and killed at home on South Washington Crossing in Tennille

At around 1 am this morning, deputies from the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence on South Washington Crossing in Tennille.
Upon arrival, the deputies discovered a male victim, identified as 40-year-old Charvis Lawrence, who had sustained gunshot wounds and was being tended to by a female administering first aid.
Tragically, Lawrence did not survive his injuries.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations is collaborating with the Sheriff’s Investigators to determine the circumstances of the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
