Chris Collier, Sunderland local who served as a Captain in the British Army, passed away

Chris was a former Army Captain who served with the Parachute Regiment, Chris sadly leaves behind 3 children and a fiance.

Chris passed this morning, the details are not fully known at this time but it is suspected this was down to a cardiac arrest.

Sunderland AFC Supporters issued the following statement:

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our former admins, Chris Collier, Chris later went on to open his own page Sunderland before moving fully into photography.

Chris was a former Army Captain who served with the Parachute Regiment, Chris sadly leaves behind 3 children and a fiance.

Liam McCormick Photography issued the following statement:

Today i heard the sad and tragic news that friend, fellow photographer and huge Sunderland fan Chris Collier had suddenly passed away this morning of a cardiac arrest. I heard the news this morning and could not believe it, i was only speaking to him two days ago and seen he was shooting his first event of the year in Sunderland last night. I am numb and absolutely devastated…

Gone far too soon mate, You will be a huge miss. All day i’ve thought about you!

Thinking of Samantha his fiancé his three young kids and Steph his sister and all of his family at this sad sad time…
