WILDFIRE activity in Alaska has prompted evacuation orders in several communities, including one near Clear Space Force Station – one of America’s ballistic missile warning radars.

The officials are concerned about the hot, dry, and windy weather that could contribute to the spread of the fire as the days pass.
According to Jonathan Ashford, who works for the fire information center, as of Monday, the Minto Lake Fires posed a threat to more than thirty different structures.
It’s not clear how many people resided in the vicinity and had evacuated, said Ashford.
As of the early morning hours of Monday, the blaze had spread across more than 9,200 acres.
