Columbus police identify 25-year-old Jamika Ann Tashawna Summerville killed in Central Hilltop shooting
Jamika Summerville meant so much to so many people. The 25-year-old was an educator, a model and an entrepreneur.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, a woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of a gunshot that took place early on Saturday morning in the Central Hilltop area.
At 1:40 in the morning, police were dispatched to the area of Floral Avenue and Belvidere Avenue after receiving a complaint of shots being fired in the neighbourhood. Officers got additional calls of a shooting that was reportedly taking place at a residence in the 100 block of Belvidere Avenue while they were on their way to the location.
Jamika Ann Tashawna Summerville was discovered by the police in Columbus suffering from a gunshot wound when they first arrived. The victim’s condition was described as “life-threatening” when they arrived at Grant Medical Center. At approximately 2:15 in the morning, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. According to the police, there have been no arrests made. There was no new information that could be provided.
