The Cookeville high school has been placed in lockdown because there is a threat posed by a kid who may have a gun on campus.
According to a statement sent to the parents of students at Cookeville High School, the student who was said to have a pistol in the school has been discovered and is currently in police custody.
According to a message sent to parents by Putnam County School officials, a parent called dispatch at midday to report that a kid had a gun on campus. The message also stated that CHS has been on lockdown ever since.
A lockdown has been ordered, and CHS administration, school resource officers, and law enforcement are all present. Officials at the school have stated that no one will be permitted to enter or exit the building. “Authorities are making their way through the procedure of locating the pupil.”
