Couple Eric Huard and Courtney Huard found shot dead at home with their three children still in the house

A HUSBAND-wife Eric Huard and Courtney Huard were found shot and killed in their own home while their children remained alive inside.

The deaths of Eric Huard, age 51, and Courtney Huard, age 42, occurred in what authorities suspect was not an act of violence committed at random.

On the morning of June 22, police were dispatched to a Cumberland, Rhode Island, residence on Birchwood Drive after receiving reports of a gunshot wound to a couple in the residence.

Neither Courtney nor Eric survived the incident.

The couple had three children, all of whom were there in the house when one of the parents passed away, and all of the children witnessed their parents’ deaths.

The attack had no effect on any of the three youngsters in any way.

Police said they are confident that this was a unique event, despite the fact that investigators have not provided the public with any further details about the attack or the investigation into it.

Robert Boynes, the couple’s neighbor, was quoted as saying, “Something I wouldn’t believe would happen.”

“There’s only 12 hours on this street. It’s a quiet neighborhood. Never, never in 50 years [I lived here] an incident on this street.”

The incident is being looked into by both the Rhode Island Police and the state attorney general.

At this point in time, there is no new information that can be provided on the investigation. According to the findings of the preliminary inquiry, which were disclosed the day before, this appears to be an isolated incidence. It was discovered that Mr. and Mrs. Huard’s three children were safe and sound inside the property. According to the findings of the inquiry so far, this did not appear to be an act of random violence.

Chief Benson said, “Again, I want to send my deepest condolences and sympathies to the Huard family, to any friends and family, and especially to the three children left behind during this very hard time.”

According to Courtney’s obituary, she had a diet and nutrition practice and was a devoted mother to Grant, Blake, and Sydney Huard.
