Crews battling fire at a grass and brush fire on SR-507 at the railroad overpass northeast of Yelm.

S.E. Thurston Fire Authority and mutual aid is on scene of a large brush fire at the 17300 block of SR 507 in Yelm (near Walmart).

A significant brush fire has been reported in Yelm’s 17300 block of SR 507, and S.E. Thurston Fire Authority and mutual aid are on the scene (near Walmart).
Structures are being threatened by the fire.
It’s probable that some people might be evacuated.
In the vicinity of the fire, 507 is now being shut down.
The main part of the fire is between 507 and Old McKenna Road. DNR air support is assisting by dropping water on the fire.
Units have containment on the fire minus some hot spots.
Keep out of the area.
