Despite eventually being handcuffed and in custody, Scott was able to take control of a police vehicle, which led to him being shot.

The subject managed to move his handcuffs to the front of his body, break the plexiglass partition of the police vehicle, get into the driver’s seat, and drive away.

He rammed the vehicle into a silver car, according to Ashburn Police Chief Richard Purvis. Scott died at Tift Regional Medical Center, according to law enforcement.
