Dashaun Tubbs shot and killed Sideic Robinson at Burger King on Lyell Avenue

A man, who was believed to have killed a Burger King employee last month, has been charged for a different shooting incident that recently occurred in the city.

According to the police, Dashaun Tubbs, who is 19 years old, fatally shot Sideic Robinson, also 19, as Robinson was leaving his workplace at the Burger King on Lyell Avenue on January 14.

During their investigation into a separate shooting that took place on St. James Street on Thursday afternoon, in which a 17-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries, law enforcement officials located Tubbs on Lyell Avenue and discovered him to be carrying a handgun.

The murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges have been brought against Tubbs in relation to Robinson’s death.

According to the police, the two individuals were acquainted with each other, and the shooting is thought to have occurred due to an act of disrespect.

Additionally, Tubbs has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon regarding the recent shooting incident that occurred on Thursday.

Law enforcement officials disclosed that Tubbs was previously on probation as a result of a weapons plea. On Friday morning, he appeared before Rochester City Court for arraignment.
