ARREST MADE IN SHOOTING ON MADISON AVENUE

Just after 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office North Patrol deputies responded to a bar on Madison Avenue to a report of a shooting that just occurred.
Once deputies arrived, they discovered a 39-year-old female had been shot in the arm and learned the suspect had fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies began a search for the suspect and located him a short time later. The suspect, later identified as 34-year-old David FAULKENBERY, was inside a vehicle in a residential neighborhood.
FAULKENBERY refused to comply with deputies’ commands to exit his vehicle and was observed holding a handgun. After nearly four hours, FAULKENBERY surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without incident.
FAULKENBERY was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for several felony charges including Assault on a Person with a Semi-automatic Firearm [PC 245(b)] and Robbery [PC 211].
He is currently being held on $75000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on January 31, 2023, at 3:00 P.M.
