Days of our Lives actor Cody Longo found dead at home in Texas

Cody was only 34 years old.

Actor Cody Longo, who made his impact in both film and television and appeared on “Days of Our Lives,” has passed away, FOX3 has learned.

Cody’s body was discovered on Wednesday in a bed at a residence in Austin, Texas.

His wife, Stephanie, who works at a local dance studio, grew worried when she couldn’t reach him and called the police to check on him.

When Cody did not respond, the police entered the home and found him dead in bed. The family believes that Cody had struggled with alcohol abuse for years and underwent rehab over the summer, and that alcoholism may have caused his death.

Although an official time of death has not been confirmed, the family believes that he may have relapsed. Longo appeared in 8 episodes of “Days of Our Lives” in 2011, and also in “Bring It On: Fight to The Finish” and “Nashville” in 2016.

However, he is best remembered for his role as Eddie Duran in the 78 episodes of “Hollywood Heights.” Cody’s wife, Stephanie, says that he was working hard to overcome his struggles for the sake of his children and was an amazing father and husband.

He leaves behind his wife, a 7-year-old daughter, a 5-year-old son, and a 1-year-old son.

Cody was only 34 years old.
