An advertisement running in Australia’s Mackay and Whitsunday Life newspaper has gone viral. The ad was purportedly taken out by a scorned woman to shame her cheating hubby.

A woman who is angry with her husband has humiliated him in public by publishing an advertising in the local newspaper that takes up a whole page and calls him a “dirty cheater.”
In an ad that was published in the August 12 issue of the Australian newspaper Mackay and Whitsunday Life, the woman, who was only known as Jenny, vented her anger.
The advertisement, which was written in all capital letters and shown in a huge font, stated, “Dear Steve, I hope you’re happy with her.” “Everyone in this town is going to know what a scumbag and a cheat you are today. From Jenny. P.S. I purchased this advertisement using your credit card.”
Numerous calls from curious locals seeking more information on the small-town controversy flooded the newspaper, which is read by more than 50,000 people in the tropical tourist area next to the Great Barrier Reef.

They disclosed that she reserved the spot on their website, but they withheld information about the amount she attempted to use her husband’s credit card for when she tried to pull the stunt.
Since it was unlawful to charge Steve’s account without his authorization, the editors ultimately opted to run the advertisement without charge.
“We do NOT know who Steve is, but evidently he has been very, very awful,” they said.
