COPS have launched an investigation after the decomposing body of a man in handcuffs was mysteriously found covered with a blanket in a pickup truck.

A guy was discovered with several wounds to his neck in the city’s south side, and the Houston police department is currently investigating his death as a possible homicide.

Patrol officers noticed a pickup truck parked alongside the road on Monday morning when they were in the 3800 block of Alice Street.

ABC13 was told by neighbors that the truck had been sitting there for days.

One of the neighbors remarked, “I came back inside the home after sweeping off the porch, and it was still sitting there.” “I mumbled something to the effect of, ‘Oh well, maybe it broke down or whatever,'”

As the officers got closer to the vehicle, they noticed that there was a potent smell coming from inside.

According to the police, as the officers unlocked the door, they noticed a man with a comforter covering him while he was sitting in the driver’s seat. The individual who was found inside the truck had what looked to be multiple stab wounds to the neck.

Anthony Brown reported that his daughter had informed him that they had found a body over there and that the car had been parked over there for a couple of days.” When I heard that, my first thought was, “That’s much too close to comfort, man.”

Although there was a lack of information on the investigation into the death, the police described the suspect as a Hispanic male of approximately 5 feet 6 inches in height and approximately 150 pounds in weight. The last time anyone saw the suspect, he was dressed in a yellow work shirt and brown work boots.

The death has raised concern among the community members.

Brown said, “It makes you more aware.” “It makes you more aware of what’s going on around you and helps you pay attention to it.”

At this point, police say they don’t know what caused the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Division of the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
