Devin and Davon Griffin-Curry charged in connection to fatal shooting of Rickey Lathan
Lathan was unarmed at the time of the shooting.

Two brothers, Devin Griffin-Curry (17) and Davon Griffin-Curry (18), have been charged with the murder of Rickey Lathan, a 35-year-old man who was shot after a verbal altercation with the brothers’ grandfather regarding fireworks.
The shooting occurred on Semple Ave, and after the incident, the brothers returned home as if nothing had happened.

The police were alerted to the shooting and found Lathan lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Unfortunately, Lathan died at the scene despite emergency medical services’ efforts.
Devin Griffin-Curry was certified as an adult by the Juvenile Courts, although he was 16 at the time of the incident, and he was charged with Murder 1st and Armed Criminal Action.
The Circuit Attorney’s Office issued the charges, and Davon Griffin-Curry was also charged with Murder 1st and Armed Criminal Action.
