DOG the Bounty Hunter has been given information regarding the disappearance of a teenage girl Kiely Rodni who went missing after attending a party at a campground to celebrate the end of the school year.
The reality TV star, who is 69 years old, helped find Gabby Petito’s fiance Brian Laundrie in the past.
Dog’s team told TMZ that he has gotten a “slew” of emails from people who know something about what happened to Kiely Rodni.
But he won’t help with the search unless a family member or the police ask him to, or if it’s been 21 days since the person went missing.
Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, traveled to Florida in the fall of 2017 and spent weeks searching in the wetlands there for Laundrie.
When the bones of Laundrie were discovered in October in Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, he gave up the hunt and did not continue it.
The discovery of Laundrie’s remains was made without the assistance of Dog.
On August 6, Rodni was last seen in the area of the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, California. She has not been seen or heard from since that day.
Online sleuths who focused their attention on Petito’s disappearance have also become involved in the hunt to find Rodni.
A call for help was posted on the VanLife subreddit community, and one user encouraged users to review footage from their dashcams if they had been in the vicinity of the campground when Kiely went missing.
A leaflet was passed about that displayed a number of images of Kiely, as well as her 2013 Honda CRV and a sticker on the rear window of the vehicle.
A KielyRodni subreddit was also established, and its 2,500 users are currently discussing the most recent developments in the investigation.
David Robertson, Rodni’s grandfather, is of the opinion that his granddaughter’s car may conceal important clues.
He requested that FOX3 continue their search for the lost vehicle.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officials have been given over a thousand tips.
Near the campground, according to the information provided by one source, there is maybe a burial site.
After the location of the crime was discovered, FBI agents arrived to protect the area.
Angela Musallam, a public information officer for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, shared the following statement: “The FBI investigators inspected the location through early this morning and uncovered the remains of a dog.”
On the evening that Rodni went missing, the police discovered that she was donning a white hoodie that had the words “Odd Future” printed on the front of it.
It is not certain whether Rodni was wearing the sweater when she was last spotted because she has not been seen since.
Sami Smith, a close friend of Rodni’s, stated that the party was quite similar to the book “Lord of the Flies.”
She said in an interview that attendees at the party were involved in illicit conduct.
In addition to this, she asserted that there were “creepy older guys” present at the party.
Lindsey, Rodni’s mother, shared that her daughter had messaged her to let her know that she intended to return home immediately following the event.
She stated, “I reassured her that I loved her and wished for her to stay safe.”
“And she responded by saying, ‘Ok mom, I love you too.'”
Rodni’s disappearance is “out of character,” thus Lindsey does not believe that she ran away from home.
