Donte Rapheal McCray charged in connection to the fatal shooting of a pregnant Kyla Bianca O’Neal outside an Amazon Fulfillment Center in Lakeville

Donte Raphael McCray, a 32-year-old worker at an Amazon warehouse, is charged with second-degree manslaughter say he shot a pregnant woman to death outside a company warehouse in Minnesota.

Following the discovery of his pregnant fiancée shot in the neck in a car outside an Amazon fulfilment center in Lakeville on Sunday night, prosecutors have charged a 32-year-old man with 2nd-degree murder. The child was born at HCMC and is currently in a critical state. Shortly after, Kyla Bianca O’Neal, 31, was declared deceased.

A pregnant woman was killed in a shooting that took place in the parking lot of an Amazon fulfilment center. According to his grandmother, Katina O’Neal, the newborn was born at a nearby hospital and is fighting for his life.

The 32-year-old Donte Raphael McCray is charged with second-degree manslaughter on one count. The Dakota County Jail is where he’s being detained. He is accused with homicide under a theory of unjustifiable risk-creating negligence.

According to a news release from the Lakeville Police Department, Kyla O’Neal worked at the Amazon site when the fatal shot was fired.

Officers were called to a report of a woman with a gunshot wound inside a car in the parking area of the fulfilment facility. Hospitalized patient passed away.

The suspect, who was present at the crime scene when police arrived, is apparently assisting with the investigation.

McCray is being held without bond “pending charge/investigation,” according to jail records that have been reviewed.

His next court appearance is scheduled for January 10, 2023, at this time. He is not currently listed with an attorney of record.

The victim’s social media accounts indicate that she had been dating the suspect since December 31, 2016, and that they had broken up a few hours before the incident.
