A driver Travis T. Williams and his female passenger Shenella Braithwaite were killed in a fiery, single-vehicle crash early Monday on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island, State Police said.

A driver Travis T. Williams and his female passenger Shenella Braithwaite were killed in a fiery, single-vehicle crash early Monday on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island, State Police said.

According to the police, a fiery collision that occurred early on Monday morning on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman.
Travis T. Williams, 45, was driving “at a fast rate of speed” and lost control around 1:15 a.m. on the parkway in Islip.
According to the officials, he drove off the roadway and crashed into a tree, which caused the vehicle he was in to catch fire.
According to the authorities, Williams passed away at the site.
Shenella Braithwaite, a 35-year-old passenger of Williams, was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital, where she passed away from her wounds, according to the authorities.
Photos from the site reveal that the black automobile was entirely engulfed in flames after the collision and that the hood of the car appeared to have been blown off.
According to the officials, the North Babylon Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to the location along with the State Police.


The inquiry into the crash is still ongoing.
The family of Shenella Braithwaite is completely devastated by the loss of our loved one. Shenella is leaving behind 4 children (3 boys aged 14, 7 and 1; and a 5-year old girl).
