Elon Musk breaks Twitter silence with tribute to Youtuber Technoblade who dies from cancer
Elon Musk, who is in the process of purchasing Twitter, resumed his social media activity on Friday after more than a week of inactivity.
Since June 21, the CEO of Tesla and tech millionaire hasn’t tweeted from his personal account. The post was a memorial for a well-known YouTuber who passed away from cancer and was sent to his more than 100 million subscribers.
In other posts, he included a recent image of himself with Pope Francis and four of his children. Musk tweeted, “Honored to meet @Pontifex yesterday. Additionally, he shared old pictures of himself and his ex-wife Talulah Riley taken in Venice.

Musk’s tweet in memory of the late YouTuber included the following description. “Popular Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade with 12 Million subscribers recently passed away at the age of 23 due to cancer, and this made [me] realize that cancer is [an] absurd piece of literal garbage and death, but also try to live your best life with people who know,” the tweet read. They could pass away the next day, and you would regret not spending time with them while they were alive. A passage from Sonic the Hedgehog was spoken as part of the homage.
