Evacuation order issued after Route Fire in Castaic, California
Photos of the Route Fire near Castaic in Los Angeles County are shocking. People are being told to leave the Paradise Mobile Estates area, and I-5 is closed.

During a particularly severe heat wave, a brush fire in Castaic, California, consumed more than 600 acres of land, prompting authorities to issue a mandatory evacuation order.

The “Route Fire” started after 2pm today near Castaic. Over 4,000 acres burned & growing.
I-5 has been closed north & south bound.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, all individuals who live south of Templin Highway, including those who live in the Paradise Mobile Estates, have been given the order to relocate to locations farther north.
Deputies from the local sheriff’s office were called to evacuate an elementary school in the neighborhood.
According to the officials, at least seven firefighters had to be treated for injuries connected to the heat.
An early afternoon report of the Rout Fire was made near the 5, which was immediately shut down in both directions after the incident.
People in Orange County said they could see the smoke.
